After a dreary start to July, filled with back-to-back rain and even thundery showers, new forecasts have predicted when the weather will finally warm up. In just a matter of days, a wave of hot air is expected to land in the UK, bringing the temperature up to 30C peaks.

Forecasts from Netweather show parts of Kent feeling as warm as 29C next week, with the hottest temperatures expected on Monday (July 15). The likes of CanterburyAshfordMaidstone, Rochester and Tunbridge Wells could feel peaks of between 29C and 30C on this date.

Before then the county is, however, expected to see more downpours over the coming days, with the Met Office predicting showers on Friday (July 12). From here, conditions are largely expected to clear, as temperatures creep up over the weekend, sitting comfortably in the low to mid 20s for the majority of the county by Sunday (July 14).
