A new street food vendor is set to tantalise tastebuds in Maidstone very soon, expanding the town centre’s food offering with mouth-watering meals. Perfect Pulled Pork is set to open in Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre at the end of this month (February).
The quick-food-stop option promises a focus on “quality, flavour and innovation”. Kingsley Starling is the chef at the helm of this new venture, having spent 15 years in Hong Kong honing his culinary skills.
He is joined by his twin brother Royston in bringing this creative new food outlet to Maidstone. Customers can expect melt-in-the-mouth creations as meat is cooked sous vide for more than 24 hours, meaning to be cooked at a low temperature for a long time to achieve tender and succulent results.
Perfect Pulled Pork is moving into the former home of Funky Feast within Lockmeadow’s Love Food hall. Menu items include signature burgers, sliders, burritos, wraps, loaded nachos, pastries and more.
Kingsley said: “We’re thrilled to introduce Maidstone to our unique take on pulled pork. Cooked sous vide, our food is infused with signature herbs, ensuring each bite is succulent and bursting with flavour.
“Our commitment to quality extends to offering vegetarian options featuring Jackfruit, all accompanied by our homemade barbecue sauce.” The vendor’s opening has received support from the Let’s Do Business team at Maidstone’s Business Centre.
MBC Cabinet member for healthier stronger communities, Cllr Stephen Thompson, said: “This further addition to the quick-food-stop options is a tremendous boost for Lockmeadow and Maidstone. I really look forward to experiencing the exciting new menu firsthand, including the vegetarian options, and am confident Perfect Pulled Pork will become a favourite among locals and visitors alike.”
