And it will be giving away 350 meals
Foodies in Thanet could bag themselves a free meal as a popular Asian-inspired chain prepares to open its new restaurant at Westwood Cross. Wagamama is giving away 350 meals to food fans ahead of its opening on Bank Holiday Monday (August 31).
The new restaurant, which has created 50 jobs, features Wagamama’s signature long communal benches and open kitchen layout. Alongside classic dishes like gyozas, bao buns, and the vegan tofu firecracker, diners can try out summer sides including smashed cucumber and corn ribs.
For dessert, the menu features a banana katsu served with miso caramel ice cream and toffee sauce. Fran Donovan, centre director at Westwood Cross, said: “We’re excited to welcome Wagamama into our line-up at Westwood Cross.
“Its opening has been highly anticipated by local shoppers who are eager to try the iconic Asian-inspired menu, and we’re confident it’s going to be a massive hit.” For those who prefer a takeaway on the sofa, the new Thanet site will also offer home delivery via Deliveroo and Uber Eats shortly after opening.
Members of Wagamama’s ‘soul club’ loyalty app can also score a free main, a side or dessert, plus two regular drinks. Noodle lovers looking to claim a free meal just need to download the ‘soul club’ app to access the exclusive link and full details.
App members will also get the chance to test out the new venue first during exclusive preview dining sessions on Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30. The restaurant will be open from 11am to 10pm Monday to Thursday and on Sunday, while on Fridays and Saturdays it will stay open until 11pm.
