The floating museum will remain in Gravesend for just over 10 days

Visitors will have the chance to step aboard a replica of one of history’s most famous ships when the Nao Victoria docks in Kent as part of its European tour.
The vessel will be moored at Gravesend Town Pier and open to the public from June 17 to June 28.
During its tour, the ship will visit more than twenty ports across the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain.
The Nao Victoria is a unique replica of the ship that completed the first circumnavigation of the globe between 1519 and 1522.
The historic voyage, led by Ferdinand Magellan and later completed by Juan Sebastián Elcano, is regarded as one of the greatest maritime expeditions in history. Today, the replica serves as a floating museum dedicated to the first circumnavigation of the globe.
Since its construction, the Nao Victoria has sailed across some of the world’s major oceans, completed its own round-the-world voyage between 2004 and 2006, and visited hundreds of ports across Europe and the United States.
A spokesperson for Fundación Nao Victoria said: “During its stay at Gravesend Town Pier, visitors will be able to climb aboard, explore its decks, and learn about the astonishing adventure it accomplished.
“Furthermore, they can go down into the hold to discover what life is like for the young crew that continues to sail the world’s seas today. A unique cultural and educational experience that transports visitors back to the era of the great navigators.
The exhibition will run from June 17 to 28, daily from 10am to 8pm. Tickets for the Nao Victoria are available online at a special rate of £8 for adults, £4 for children aged 5–10, and £20 for a family ticket (two adults and up to three children aged 5–10).
Children under five go free but must be accompanied by an adult.
